The following Policy Changes were unanimously approved by the SRVA Board of Directors:

1) The SRVA Board of Directors approved updating the 27-28 SRVA Tryout policy to include the following minimum decision period requirement. This will be in effect with the next season's tryout period, which begins in July of 27.
"It shall not be considered a violation of the Tryout Policy for a club to notify a player and/or parent that the player has been offered a roster position. Any such offer must remain open for a minimum decision period. During this decision period, the club shall not withdraw or rescind the offer unless the player and/or parent expressly declines the offer. The minimum decision period shall begin at 12:01 AM (in the applicable time zone) on the calendar day immediately following the date the offer is made and shall expire at 11:59 PM (in the same time zone) on that calendar day. Accordingly, every offer must remain available for no less than one full calendar day following the date on which the offer is extended."

2) Beginning September 1, 2026, the SRVA Board of Directors approved the implementation of the SRVA Recruiting and Non-Recruiting Policy. This policy is to be included in the SRVA Handbook, posted on the SRVA Website, and referenced during the SRVA Club Charter application process.

Rationale -This policy establishes clear standards governing communication between clubs and athletes to:
Protect athletes, their parents or legal guardians from undue recruiting pressure.
Promote ethical conduct and mutual respect among member clubs.
Establish objective standards that are easily understood, consistently enforced, and fairly adjudicated.
Nothing in this policy restricts an athlete's or family's ability to seek information from any club

3) The SRVA Board of Directors approved that beginning with the current 2026-2027 season, roster changes at the SRVA Regional Championship will incur a $20 penalty per roster change, not to exceed $100.
